Cascading Card

This card is aptly called a cascading card.  Uses two sides of the paper, front and back.  Love this design.  This is a card I made in a recent class.

Baby cards for little boys!

Little boys are fun with card making.  About anything blue works great.  The little dresser card folds open from the top.  Thanks for stopping by.

Baby cards

Had so much fun in class making these three baby cards.  The first picture is a depiction of a baby carriage.  Second picture is a baby in her crib.  I had cropped all of these pictures so you could view them better, then I couldn't find the file.  The last picture is a card designed to look like a onsie.
Yes these are all baby girl cards.  Tomorrow I will post the baby boy cards.

WOW Wedding Cards

Hi everyone.  Sorry it's been awhile since I've posted.  Went to a card swap this afternoon.  This is the card I swapped.  I call it a hybrid card because it uses the program "My Digital Studio" and I use punches and embellishments to give it more dimension.  Most of the paper I printed at home. StampinUp gives me awesome tools to work with.  Can you see the embossing on the layer under the phrase layer?  Lots of texture.

I think I saw this on FB last week and thought wow, that's what I do.  How cool is that!  I think I should print this and keep it on my desk.  Have a wonderful evening.
Had such a good time in class today.  Made one card and one gift card holder.  I put a teabag in the gift card holder.  So cute.  Used the SimplyScoring tools to mark the folds of the gift card.

The card I made was a very simple but elegant card.  Used velum and embossing powder.  Also embossed oval frame.  I don't know if it shows but the flowers are velum over solid punched design.  We embossed the white flowers, under the velum, with a dotted embossing folder.Used a Stampin'Up marker to add center color.  Lastly we used designer brads to complete the layers.  Sounds much more difficult than it really was.  Thanks for stopping by.  Tomorrow is another day of class and I can't wait.

Hope all you Moms out there had a good Mother's Day.   My two sons and their wives spoiled me. Love it.
This coming Tuesday I am going to a class given by a fellow Stampin'Up friend. She will be teaching us how to make these beautiful flowers. Yes they are paper. So excited I just had to share.

Summer is Coming

This week has been warmer than the norm so I feel the heat of summer approaching, I will definitely miss the spring. Anyone out there dislike the heat of our summers as much as me?

The card with the fluffy bow I last posted was disappointing to me.  Do you remember me not being able to find the correct stamp set?  Well I found it. The set is called "Bright Blossoms".  I really need a better labeling system.  Oh well.  I remade the card to my satisfaction using the stamp set I had intended.  Hope you like it.  You can always make a comment to contact me.  My website is cheryljohnson.stampinup.net.  Have a great afternoon.

Bright Idea

Used Real Red, Whisper White, Daffodil Yellow and Wasabi Green.  Shockingly bright.  Daffodil Delight seam binding for the bow.  Went a bit overboard. Lesson learned.  Red button and Designer Brad.
I cut and punched all of my paper. Embossed the white and yellow.  Went to stamp the white squares and I didn't have the stamp set I had decided on.  Boohoo!  So I improvised.  Used the stamp set "Language of Friendship".  Planned on using the stamp set that goes with "Summer Smooches".  I must have it on order.  Have a great evening.

Tea Time

Hello everyone.  It's a beautiful morning but a tad warm.  I want to share a card I made.  I used a Stampin'Up stamp set called "Tea Shoppe".  It is still available and will be in the new catalog coming in June. I love adding brads to give a card dimension. Please note the embossing on the white circle behind the tea cup.  Thanks for checking in and remember you can always visit my website at cheryljohnson.stampinup.net.

These two cards are samples I made for my class and club signups.  Too cute.  The card with the bird has a stamped paper as a background.  Which paper is it?

3x3 card

Cute 3x3 cards. You can make your own envelope .If you don't want to hand it to them be creative.  Slip the card into a purse, backpack or pocket if you're good!  I made this out of three different flower Stampin'Up punches. The designer brad in the middle just makes this card.

Comments are always appreciated.  Want to make this for yourself?  Let me know in the comment section and be sure to leave me your email address.
